Your wedding day, in many ways, can be a reflection of the way you live your life. By incorporating eco friendly products and services you are letting your guests know that sustainability is a priority to you and your partner, and going a little greener doesn’t have to mean compromising on your vision.
Here is a list of simple changes that can make a big difference:

-Hire like-minded vendors and book a venue that supports your eco-friendly plan for a low waste approach.

-Set up recycling and composting stations for guests and staff to use throughout the day.

-Eliminate single use products or use compostable products like bamboo and palm leaf plates and utensils.

-Consider giving your guests a personalized glass as a gift when they arrive so they can use it throughout the night.

-Choose paperless invitations or a recyclable/compostable letter versions.

-Order your wedding dress and other wedding attire from either a company that uses sustainable fabrics, a rental company, a second hand shop or borrow one from a friend or family member. Then plan to donate your apparel after your wedding day and keep the cycle going!

- Incorporate living, local, or dried plants and flowers into your centerpieces so that they can be enjoyed for a long time. Also consider donating cut flower arrangements to local nursing homes or hospitals so that others can enjoy their beauty too!

-Source your décor from thrift stores or local rental companies and plan to re-sell any items you won’t use afterwards.

-Shop locally and support your community of business owners which will also help with your overall carbon foot print.
