Meet our vendors and find out why we're not your average wedding expo.
Valley Wed is a unique wedding show offering couples a handpicked selection of exceptional wedding pros in Western Mass. It's designed especially for couples that want to go their own way, but they don’t want to go it alone.
Meet Rob Alberti, owner of Rob Alberti's Event Services, offering
DJs and MCs, photo booths, event lighting and ceremony music. When did you start your business and why do you do what you do?
I started the business more than 25 years ago. We are passionate about weddings: we love getting to know our couples so we can help them reflect their style and personality throughout their wedding...in the music they choose, in how we stage all the events and with our lighting designs.
What is your favorite part of your job?
We love working with couples who want to be involved in their wedding day.
After your first meeting with a new client, what do you want them to leave knowing about you and your business?
Anyone can have a laptop filled with music or buy an LED light, but it takes training and experience to know what song next to keep the dance floor energized and where to place the right lighting fixture for the most impact in your venue.
Quality is usually reflected in the price you pay. Couples could get their flowers from Stop & Shop, but they probably won’t. So why would they think an $800 DJ who throws in free up-lighting would be a good choice for their very expensive, once-in-a-lifetime event. They deserve to hire a professional who takes their job seriously. What's something every couple needs to know about planning a wedding?
Don't pay any more than necessary to get everything you want and need at your wedding, but don't do without necessary elements and be short-changed by inferior service.
What would make you feel great knowing you had accomplished for your client?
We get a rush out of seeing our couples' happy guests with tired feet at the end of their wedding day.
